EMAIL 8/5/21 How Can TCDP Precinct Chairs help with the Ground Game TX Petition Drive?

Precinct Chairs

Our first weekend of gathering petition signatures went pretty well. I would like to thank all the chairs that took a shift on the first weekend and pitched in some time gathering signatures at the various events. However, We have a ways to go to reach our goal of 5000 signatures for Ground Game Texas. There are 3 ways you can help us reach our goal.

1: Gather signatures in your precincts. Included in this email is a link to the petition language and a link to print out your own form to collect signatures. If every precinct chair fills up 2 signature sheets we will be halfway to our goal.

If you don't have a printer and need signup sheets, respond to this email with such a request.

2: Sign up for 1 shift! We are adding events to this list all the time. If you are able to pitch in a couple of hours at one of our identified events it would help a lot! (I would like to emphasize we are looking for folks for the voter rights rally on Friday at the capital, The upcoming pride parade, as well as blues on the green (currently no signups) urgently. These events are a priority and volunteers will likely collect many sheets worth of signatures at these events)

3:Share our posts and volunteer links with your networks. Some events volunteers walk away with as many as 10 sheets of signatures. If you have a block walk team or a voter registration team, share our signups with them and apply those skills to gathering signatures.

Bonus: If you know a location that is open to the public and routinely draws a crowd around town let us know. We have a little more than 2 weeks to reach our goal, and the more events we put on our calendar, the easier it will be to fulfill our pledge to help ground game Texas get this on the ballot.

We (TCDP) are planning to turn our collected signatures over to Ground Game Texas on or about the 23rd of August. If we all pitch in a little time and effort, we will reach our goal of 5000 signatures with room to spare.

Thank you guys for all your help with this
