THANK YOU SPONSORS!

The TCDP's Farewell Party for Outgoing Chair Chris Elliott held on the
evening of May 13th was a delightful event! Many of our Democratic Elected
Officials, Candidates, Finance Council & Sustaining Members, Precinct Chairs
and Activists all turned out for a very fun time. The weather held so all
enjoyed the warm spring evening outdoors on the beautiful lawn of the Old
School. Ben Franklin & Friends (of which many are TCDP Finance Council,
Sustaining Members and Precinct Chairs) performed for us again and Jimmy
LaFave was as ever superb.

Additionally, we would like to thank the following Sponsors who made it all

MARK STRAMA CAMPAIGN ACADEMY

Campaign Academy brings together college and high school students to learn
the nuts and bolts of a grassroots political campaign - and to put what they
learn into practice. Following an intensive, two-day training "boot camp"
at the beginning of the program, the students become an integral part of the
campaign for the remainder of the summer, supporting all aspects of the
campaign's field, communications, fundraising, and internet strategies.

Daily lunch speakers visit with the students and provide them exposure to
every dimension of politics and government. Lunch speakers include current
and former elected officials, journalists, policy experts, academics,
political consultants, and bloggers. This summer, for the first time,
Campaign Academy will operate throughout Travis County, providing support
not only to my campaign but to the entire Democratic ticket in Travis
County.

BECOME A TCDP SUSTAINING MEMBER!

Since 2004, seven Republican-held offices within Travis County have switched
to Democrats, and now, there are only four Republicans left and one of those
was just appointed by Rick Perry last September! As you can see, the TCDP
has stepped up to make Travis County even more Democratic!

Sustaining members are our lifeblood. They are the reason that we are open
year-round (one of only five county parties in Texas that stay open
year-round), have two full-time staff members, and our work has been so
successful. We do not receive any funds from the national or state parties!

Stand with us and other Travis County residents and support TCDP by becoming
a Member. We have two levels of membership:

Sustaining: minimum of $10.00 per month or $120.00 annually.

Finance Council: minimum of $84.00 per month or $1,000.00 annually.
Members at this level receive prominent listing in our publications and web
site as well as at Travis County Democratic Party functions along with free
admission to TCDP sponsored events.

The Travis County Democratic Party is dependent on your generosity for
everything we do!

To join the Travis County Democratic Party go online to:

TIME: 5:00 to 7:00pm
LOCATION: Union Underground bowling lanes @ UT Student Union: 24th/Guadalupe
$15 suggested donation per person

SPONSORED BY SD25 FOR OBAMA. We're going bowling for Obama! And you and all
of your friends are invited. We're doing this as a fun idea for a
fund-raiser. On Sunday May 18th we've reserved 5 lanes at the Union
Underground bowling alley at the University of Texas. Your contribution of
$15 will let you bowl with us for as long as you like during the 2 hours we
plan on being there. Proceeds will go to offset the cost of the rental
facility for SD25's June 1st pre-caucus meeting in San Marcos. Any money
left over will be donated directly to the Obama campaign.

Everyone is welcome, but if you are a delegate or alternate to the state
convention who wants to go on to national, or if you're running for a
committee spot at state, this should be a good opportunity to meet the
people who's support you'll be asking for or to check out the competition.

The Union Underground does have shoe rentals or you can bring your own if
you're a pro. Please send an RSVP to info at sd25obama.com if you want to join
us.

Find more info or look for updates at the SD25 for Obama website, which can
be found here.

TO SUBSCRIBERS WHO USE AOL

AOL has become increasingly difficult for independent Internet services and
presence providers like ours to work with. The AOL mail user interface has
a "Report Spam" button immediately adjacent to the "Delete" button, and not
only does this make it hard for many inexperienced (and elderly) users to
avoid hitting the "Report Spam" button, but AOL apparently makes little or
no attempt to educate its user base on distinguishing between spam and
legitimate list posts to which they have subscribed but may not wish to
read.

AOL tracks each "Report Spam" it receives from subscribers. If they receive
too many complaints from our service, email will be subject to substantial
acceptance delays or rejection by AOL's mail servers.

Each time an AOL user hits the "Report Spam" button on a post from a list
hosted by our web host, we receive a "Client TOS Notification" from AOL. If
this happens, you will be automatically unsubscribed from the list.

You are free to re-subscribe your address to our lists; however, if you
chose to do so, please take the time to use caution or obtain an email
address, such as a gmail address, from a different provider. Please be
careful when deleting messages.
