A MESSAGE FROM TCDP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ELIZABETH YEVICH
Dear Fellow Democrats:
What exciting times! With riveting competition in the presidential race
leading to an energized Democratic Party and now with Texas suddenly coming
into play in this decision, we have much to look forward to on all fronts:
national, state and most importantly for us, the county level.
If you are reading these words, then you are already tapped into your local
Party and keep up with weekly Democratic activities through this Newsletter.
Though our online Newsletter may not have some of the bells and whistles, as
far as color or graphics that others e-newsletters offer, it is typically
jam-packed with up-to-the-minute news. However, we would like to expand our
readership during this time of great Party anticipation and need your help
to do this.
We ask you to take a moment and forward this e-mail to one person. Just one
person whom you think may not currently be signed up but if they knew about
us, would more than likely sign on thereby becoming more aware of what is
happening right here and right now in Travis County. We all should take
hold of this wonderful Party momentum in any way we can. And if those who
are reading this Newsletter today forward to just one person and each person
then signed on, we could double our readership in a very short time! Of
course, imagine the impact if everyone sent to two people!! Please consider
taking action by hitting the 'forward' button on your e-mail program.
Perhaps copy/paste in the following at the top of your forwarded e-mail:
"I've been receiving the Travis County Democratic Party's weekly
E-Newsletter for some time now and find it very useful to learn about what
is going on in our own community in regards to efforts to keep our County
bright Blue. I thought that if you are not already receiving the TCDP's
Newsletter, you might consider signing up. If so, here is the direct link
to do so:" http://www.traviscountydemocrats.org/newsletter.php
Thank you all for all that you do.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth Yevich
TCDP Executive Director

BECOME A TCDP SUSTAINING MEMBER!
Since 2004, seven Republican-held offices within Travis County have switched
to Democrats, and now, there are only four Republicans left and one of those
was just appointed by Rick Perry last September! As you can see, the TCDP
has stepped up to make Travis County even more Democratic!
Sustaining members are our lifeblood. They are the reason that we are open
year-round (one of only five county parties in Texas that stay open
year-round), have two full-time staff members, and our work has been so
successful. We do not receive any funds from the national or state parties!
Stand with us and other Travis County residents and support TCDP by becoming
a Member. We have two levels of membership:
Sustaining: minimum of $10.00 per month or $120.00 annually.
Finance Council: minimum of $84.00 per month or $1,000.00 annually.
Members at this level receive prominent listing in our publications and web
site as well as at Travis County Democratic Party functions along with free
admission to TCDP sponsored events.
The Travis County Democratic Party is dependent on your generosity for
everything we do!
To join the Travis County Democratic Party go online to:

TO SUBSCRIBERS WHO USE AOL
AOL has become increasingly difficult for independent Internet services and
presence providers like ours to work with. The AOL mail user interface has
a "Report Spam" button immediately adjacent to the "Delete" button, and not
only does this make it hard for many inexperienced (and elderly) users to
avoid hitting the "Report Spam" button, but AOL apparently makes little or
no attempt to educate its user base on distinguishing between spam and
legitimate list posts to which they have subscribed but may not wish to
read.
AOL tracks each "Report Spam" it receives from subscribers. If they receive
too many complaints from our service, email will be subject to substantial
acceptance delays or rejection by AOL's mail servers.
Each time an AOL user hits the "Report Spam" button on a post from a list
hosted by our web host, we receive a "Client TOS Notification" from AOL. If
this happens, you will be automatically unsubscribed from the list.
You are free to re-subscribe your address to our lists; however, if you
chose to do so, please take the time to use caution or obtain an email
address, such as a gmail address, from a different provider. Please be
careful when deleting messages.
