THE 2008 DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION WILL BE HELD IN…
Denver, Colorado! In today’s announcement, DNC Chair Howard Dean said, "I
am delighted to announce that the city of Denver will host the 2008
Democratic National Convention. I congratulate Mayor Hickenlooper, Governor
Ritter, Senator Salazar and the members of the Denver Host Committee for
assembling an outstanding bid that demonstrates the community's commitment
to organizing a first-rate national convention that will put our nominee on
the path to victory in 2008.
"There is no question that the West is important to the future of the
Democratic Party. The recent Democratic gains in the West exemplify the
principle that when we show up and ask for people's votes and talk about
what we stand for, we can win in any part of the country. Additionally, we
have a number of strong Democratic leaders in the West who will be a part of
showcasing the vision of Democratic leadership for America as we introduce
the next Democratic President in the Rocky Mountains…”

MLK MARCH AND FESTIVAL
Monday, January 15, 2007
9:00am
Pre-March Program at UT's MLK Jr. statue
To celebrate the national Martin Luther King, Jr. day holiday, the Austin
Area Heritage Council is sponsoring the 2007 Community March. The purpose
of this 14th annual Community March is to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King’s
legacy while uplifting diversity and multi-culturalism in our city. The
2007 MLK Community March kicks off at 9 a.m. with a short program at the MLK
Statue on the University of Texas campus. Thereafter, there will be a march
to the historic Huston-Tillotson University, where exciting activities are
planned. The march is led again this year by Grand Marshal State
Representative Dawnna Dukes.
The Heritage Council is planning a Cultural Festival which will begin after
the march and last until 3 p.m. It will include all types of vendors and
local musical artists to make the 2007 Celebration the best ever!

TO SUBSCRIBERS WHO USE AOL
AOL has become increasingly difficult for independent Internet services and
presence providers like ours to work with. The AOL mail user interface has
a "Report Spam" button immediately adjacent to the "Delete" button, and not
only does this make it hard for many inexperienced (and elderly) users to
avoid hitting the "Report Spam" button, but AOL apparently makes little or
no attempt to educate its user base on distinguishing between spam and
legitimate list posts to which they have subscribed but may not wish to
read.
AOL tracks each "Report Spam" it receives from subscribers. If they receive
too many complaints from our service, email will be subject to substantial
acceptance delays or rejection by AOL's mail servers.
Each time an AOL user hits the "Report Spam" button on a post from a list
hosted by our web host, we receive a "Client TOS Notification" from AOL. If
this happens, you will be automatically unsubscribed from the list.
You are free to re-subscribe your address to our lists; however, if you
chose to do so, please take the time to use caution or obtain an email
address, such as a gmail address, from a different provider. Please be
careful when deleting messages.
