UPDATED THURSDAY, FEB. 14 at 12:22 p.m.

THE LINK IS NOW UP ON THE TEXAS DEMOCRATIC PARTY WEBSITE TO ENTER YOUR NAME IN THE DRAWING FOR ONE OF THE 100 PUBLIC SEATS AVAILABLE TO THE UPCOMING DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE.   The State Party's web address is www.txdemocrats.org

Originally no tickets were available to the public but late yesterday afternoon, the TEXAS Democratic Party (not to be confused with the TRAVIS County Democratic Party) was able to obtain 100 tickets. The TEXAS Democratic Party will be awarding these in a drawing. http://www.txdemocrats.org/index.php/275

The location for the debate is now known. It will be at the UT Recreational Sports Center (between the School of Social Work and the Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletics Center.)
But, there will be no public tickets offered.

According to the Austin American-Statesman: "Attendance to the Feb. 21 Barack Obama/Hillary Clinton debate at the University of Texas will be by invitation only, said Hector Nieto of the Texas Democratic Party ... Nieto,Texas Democratic Party Communications Director, said it wasn't the state Democratic Party's idea not to invite the public to the debate. CNN officials "were the ones doing all the logistics on this," he said. 

(please realize that the TEXAS Democratic Party and the TRAVIS County Democratic Party are separate organizations. The TRAVIS COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY WAS NOT INVITED TO BE A SPONSOR OF THIS DEBATE.)
