Due to the high number of events each week between now and the election on November 7, Travis County Democratic Party will send a weekly email every Monday highlighting the upcoming week's events. VOTER REGISTRATION ENDS TOMORROW AT MIDNIGHT!!!
Monday Midnight Madness & a Super Tuesday
The next 48 hours could very well decide a number of close elections in Travis County. Over 5,000 people will register to vote but only if you help make it happen.

1) Monday Night Madness- For you night owls or early morning risers this is a project for you. We need to get 4×4 and yard-size signs clustered around 24-hour voter registration sites distributed between 12am and 8am on Monday night and Tuesday morning. Come by 505 Willow during the day to pick them up to distribute later, or show up at midnight for our Midnight Madness Marathon.

2) The Tuesday 24 Hour Marathon- This is it! We have over a dozen locations set up across Travis County that we need to man from 8 am to Midnight on the Voter Registration Deadline Tuesday, Oct. 10.

EAST AUSTIN INITIATIVE MEETING

The East Austin Initiative (EAI), designed to address the new challenges created by changes in demographic and physical changes of East Austin, will "turnout the base" and develop an infrastructure that consistently maximizes the party's ability to maintain and expand its diverse base. The components of the EAI are:

1. True Blue Action Grassroots Campaigning
2. Candidates' Forum/ Town Hall Meeting
3. Culturally, Ethnically Relevant Messaging
4. Politically-oriented Arts/Entertainment
5. Social networking

To implement the EAI, the TCDP Coordinated Campaign needs volunteers to assist in voter registration and education drives throughout East Austin. PLEASE COME TO A MEETING ON MONDAY TO LET US KNOW HOW YOU CAN HELP!!!  MEETING DETAILS:
