Early Voting Is Less Than a Week Away!
Fellow Democrats,
I’m looking forward to today’s TCDP Women For Obama event at the home of Mayor Pro Tem Sheryl Cole, from 5 to 7 p.m. You can still get your tickets here. All proceeds from this event will go to help us get the vote out for every Democrat on the ballot. And after the Women for Obama event, you’ll have time to go to Liberal Austin Democrats’ Presidential Debate Watch Party at Opal Divine’s (700 W. Sixth St.).
Early Voting starts next week, and I urge all of you to take advantage of casting your ballot before Election Day. From Monday, October 22nd through Friday, November 2nd, you can vote at any of the locations listed here.
Libraries, grocery stores and shopping malls are among the quick-and-easy Early Voting venues, so you’ll have many convenient opportunities during that two-week period.
This is very important: Please select the button for straight-party voting when you cast your ballot. Not only will this speed up your trip through an unusually long ballot, but you’ll be voting for candidates who represent the positions of the Democratic Party.
We want to re-elect President Obama, and we want to end the drought for statewide Democrats by electing Paul Sadler for U.S. Senate. If all four of our candidates (including incumbent Diane Henson) win their races for the Third Court of Appeals, Democrats will finally regain control of that very important appellate court. County Commissioner Karen Huber needs our support to continue working hard on water and other important issues for us in Travis County. From judicial to county to State Board of Education races, electing Democrats will bring high quality leadership back to Texas.
Rick Perry and his Republican allies have slashed education funding and launched an unprecedented war on women’s health care, while Democrats have fought hard — against Tea Party enthusiasts — for these vital services. We need your vote to help us win on these issues.
Our new website, thecoordinatedcampaign.com, has information about the ballot, including our endorsements of Proposition 1 and many other important bonds and propositions. After you vote straight-party (and vote early), please come to our Coordinated Campaign Headquarters (2406 Manor Road) and volunteer. During these last few weeks, we need volunteers more than ever. You can also click here to make a donation to our grassroots efforts.
Sincerely,
Andy Brown
Travis County Democratic Party Chair
PS: If you are a lawyer or a paralegal, please consider signing up to serve as a poll watcher on Election Day. The DNC is looking for volunteers to serve in swing states on November 6th. Here is the link to the DNC Election Protection Team. As always, thanks for all that you do!

I’m trying to get a list of which propositions you endorse. The website for the coordinated campaign does not open.
It’s opening for us. Maybe double-check your browser. Or log out and then log back in again. http://www.thecoordinatedcampaign.com/
